Welcome to the web site of St. Francis In-The-Fields Episcopal Church. We are a community striving to be grounded in Christ, rooted in the Anglican tradition, and filled with the spirit of St Francis of Assisi, whose passionate love for God and for all of God's creation inspired all who came near him.

Summer Sunday Sessions

For five weeks this summer, JUNE 29, JULY 6, JULY 13, JULY 20 and JULY 27, we will have Sunday School.  It will be at our normal time, 9am Sunday mornings, but it will not have our normal format.  We'll use a workshop rotation model, but without the rotation.  The story we'll focus on is the boy Jesus in the Temple from Luke.  Each Sunday, we'll explore the story through film, drama, art, games, cooking and photograpy; activities that involve all ages.  Each session will be self-contained, so if you miss one because of traveling, you can just pick up again the next week!  But you won't want to miss any of the fun!

Vacation Bible School

For five nights in early August----specifically August 4, 6, 8, 11 & 13---the St. Francis family will meet from 6:00-8:30 pm for fellowship and learning.  Each evening's program includes a meal.  This year, our theme is teh heritage we share with our Jewish brothers & sisters.  Each night will celebrate a different Jewish festival---Shabbat, Succoth, Hanukkah, Parin, and Pesach---with foods and songs and projects, and in the process grow in faith.
