Make an Extraordinary Difference by Doing Something Ordinary
The new movie, Extraordinary Measures, has provided us with an amazing opportunity to support part of our own St. Francis family. The film follows the story of a family's efforts to find a cure for their child's devastating disease. The family of Nathan and PJ Milto, grandsons of Wilma and Fred Evers, have been fighting a similar battle of their own against Batten's disease for many years.
The makers of the film have created an online "quilt" of video stories of families taking their own extraordinary measures to find treatments and cures for the diseases and conditions affecting their loved ones. By going to the quilt and voting for the square for Nathan and PJ, you can help their foundation earn $10,000 toward research.
To access the quilt, click on this link (http://extraordinarymeasuresthemovie.com/#/quilt) and in the search box, type "Nathan." Watch the video, and click on the VOTE button in the top right corner of the window. You may vote every day.
Please take this opportunity to learn more about Nathan and PJ's battle and the many other families out there who are facing some of life's greatest challenges.
